The government of Tamil Nadu has rescheduled its Global Investors Meet to September 9-10 2015 from May 23-24, 2015 on request from foreign investors.
It will be held at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
While many States are wooing global investors through similar events, Tamil Nadu Government’s intention is to make this event one of a kind,” said C.V. Sankar, Additional Chief Secretary to Government Industries Department of Tamil Nadu.
“Unlike other Investment promotion events, the State Government is targeting at more focused approach in understanding and facilitating tailored requirements put forth by investors for this event,” he stressed.
In this context, the State Government is also rolling out specific policies and packages to incorporate the suggestions that have been received during the international roadshows held to France, United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, USA, Canada and domestic roadshows across the Country in recent months.
“Several prospective investors have requested more time for strategic budgeting and due diligence regarding their India/Tamil Nadu investment plans for the Financial Year 2015-16, which would enable them to commit bigger investments to the State.
“Other softer aspects like hot climatic conditions during the month of May will also not be conducive for the 2 day global event, as opined by some foreign investors,” said Mr Sankar.
