Acronis goes across India
Acronis®, a global leader in hybrid cloud data protection, has signed a master distribution agreement with KMI Business Technologies Pvt. Ltd, to promote and support Acronis solutions in India.
As part of the agreement, KMI will set up a stand-alone business unit called Acronis India with teams, offices and operations located throughout the country.
Acronis India will work with and support Indian resellers and managed service providers who want to sell Acronis hybrid cloud data protection solutions to businesses and public organizations, said the Singapore-headquartered Acronis.
The agreement brings the Acronis brand and it leading data protection solutions closer to Indian businesses and consumers by providing easy and local access to sales engineers, product personnel, and technical support. Acronis India’s partners in the region will benefit from direct access to expertise and strong local support from people who understand the needs and requirements of the local market. Through Acronis India, end users will have a unique opportunity to receive local support as they consolidate data protection solutions and efforts to reduce system administration resources dedicated to data backup and recovery.
Acronis has made aggressive investments in cloud data protection and focuses its research and development efforts on developing cloud services solutions for service providers. Acronis differs from other data protection vendors in that it delivers a complete cloud architecture and its solutions easily plug into existing service provider environments, while seamlessly supporting their management and business support systems – either in pure cloud or hybrid cloud environments. Acronis solutions also feature automation of services that significantly reduces the total cost of ownership for data protection, and a scale-out architecture that can support millions of end users.
Acronis products are powered by Acronis AnyData Engine, a set of unique and powerful solutions designed to protect workloads of any type, across all environments and locations. Acronis technology provides data protection, backup, secure file sync and share, and disaster recovery to consumers and businesses of all sizes, enabling local service integrators to extend their business by offering advanced data protection solutions to their customers.
“For many organizations across India, it is still difficult and expensive to effectively protect their data, especially when dealing with complex environments with different systems and hardware,” said Nilesh Shah, Director OF Acronis India.
“We chose Acronis because its platform is highly flexible with a unified management console that gives partners and end users ultimate control in how they deploy and manage their data protection solutions – no better could this better than Acronis,” he said.
“We are excited to extend our leading Acronis hybrid cloud data protection solutions to one of the fastest growing IT markets in the world,” said Steve Goh, Acronis’ Vice President and GM of Sales for APAC and Emerging Markets.
“Through our partnership with KMI and the formation of Acronis India, we are strongly positioned to drive success for our partners and customers by delivering high-touch support attention from sales engineers and product teams that know the local customer requirements,” said Goh.
Headquartered in Mumbai and operating in all major Indian cities, KMI is a market leader and National distributor for Konica Minolta & HP, offering a complete range of printing solutions to Industry & Resellers thru its Sales and Service Network across the country.
