Jharkhand’s MoUs with Singapore
#Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das concluded his Dec 21-24, 2016, visit to Singapore with several business meetings, and initiated the signing of #Memorandum of Understanding with two technology-based groups.
Das and his 12-member delegation met with group of industry leaders, including executives from #Sembcorp Group, #Institute of Technical Education and #New Water group (NEWater).
The Chief Minister also encouraged Singapore-based businesses to participate in the “#Momentum Jharkhand Global Investors’ Summit” to be held in 16-17, February 2017 at Ranchi.
Das and his delegation visited ITE and NEWater facilities in Singapore and discussed the potential of developing world class technical institute and Water treatment plant in Jharkhand. A Roadshow was held on 23 Dec.
Raghubar Das sees the possibility of an ITE-type of education centre in Jharkhand with 3,000 student capacity.
It was agreed, in principle, for Jharkhand state government to sign a MoU with ITE, preferably during global investor summit 2017 to be held 16-17 February.
The Chief Minister and his delegation also visited Singapore’s NEWater facility, one of the largest waste water treatment plants with cutting edge technology and procedure.
Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma discussed the possible cooperation between NEWater and Jharkhand Government for rain water harvesting and water management system in the state.
Jharkhand will sign a MoU with Singapore NEWater facility to assist in the development of robust water management system in the state, said a press statement after the visit. fii-news.com
