MoU signed to develop Jharkhand’s Deoghar Airport
The Deoghar Airport in Jharkhand will be expanded to handle A-320 and C-130 Aircraft over the next two years.
The State Government of Jharkhand is giving 600.34 acres of land to Airport Authority of India for site expansion. The airport is currently on 53.41 acres.
AAI, Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Jharkhand Government have signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding for the airport development, said the Ministry of Civil Aviaion on 28 March 2017.
Its development, maintenance and operation would cost Rs.250 crores. fii-news.com
