Danube cleaning experience for Ganga programme

India may benefit from Bavaria’s experience of cleaning the river Danube in Germany, said Union Minister of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Uma Bharti.
Bharti has sought cooperation in the river cleaning from visiting Minister of Environment and Consumer Protection of the Free State of Bavaria, Germany, Ulrike Scharf during her meeting in New Delhi on 28 March 2017.
Assuring, Scharf said Bavaria and India should exchange their experience and knowledge in water resources sector.
The visiting minister was given an overview of the Namami Gange programme, a massive river cleaning and development in India. fii-news.com
