Tata-led JV expected to place 100-plane order.
Singapore Airlines (SIA) has reportedly invested more than S$100 million in Vistara, a joint venture airline with Tata Group, reported The Straits Times on 13 May 2017.
The New Delhi-based airline, with a first US$100 million investment plan, flies to 45 destinations within India.
The 49-per cent SIA owned Vistara will collect its 20th aircraft in June next year, and completes its mandatory aero-plane assets for rights to operate internationally.
Tata owns 51 per cent of Vistara, which is expected to order 100 planes, including 50 widebodies, in the coming weeks.
The Singapore daily cited a Vistara spokesman saying the airline is still evaluating its options, including leasing planes from SIA. fii-news.com
