The UK-based studies South Asian markets.
Teledyne Reynolds of the United Kingdom sees good opportunities in helping India upgrade its defence technologies, some of which are more than three-decade old.
“We are studying the Indian and South Asian markets. We recognize the need to upgrade assets in these markets, especially some of which have been used for more than 25 years,” said Paul Tudor, strategic business manager at Teledyne Reynolds UK.
“We are more than happy to collaborate with a local partner in the development of product for host Nation’s final use,” he said.
“A fair but limited transfer of technologies is often expected (within reason) in the current market place,” said Tudor of possible manufacturing collaboration in India.
“We also do custom interconnect supporting high voltage and trigger systems,” he said.
Teledyne Reynolds has recently launched Common Ordnance Electronic Upgrade System (COEUS), a family of smart electronic hardware designed to offer asset life extension for existing or new design I&O equipment.
Under the program name of COEUS, Teledyne Reynolds have developed a range of products that provide the end user with the ability to meet the latest safety and performance regulations associated with MIL-STD-1316E and MIL-STD-331C.
This product also allows for future upgrade and ancillary connection
Over the last 20 years, Teledyne Reynolds have worked closely with various national and international Primes in the defence industry to develop bespoke I&O equipment.
These various assemblies have been developed for high impacts, high temperatures, high vibration and critical timings. Through the passage of time, each new design has also followed a theme of weight and size reduction.
Teledyne Reynolds have a long-standing heritage in the High Voltage and specialist cabling market, with an authoritative I&O team sharing over 100 years of experience.
With this extensive knowledge of product and market place, Teledyne Reynolds have now developed fire-sets and components that support the COEUS.
The COEUS family offers an adaptive and modular set of components to support safety and arming electronic trigger systems for Maritime, Aerospace and General Land equipment, said Tudor.
Customers are able to select generic components to allow installation into existing equipment, or integration into new designs.
Key module features include, a programmable MCU memory module, additional power packs for extended use, on-off systems, auxiliary inputs, trigger timing controls and self-testing.
When combined with the extensive portfolio of specialist electronic products from within the Teledyne Technologies Corporation, this product capabilities become vast.
Teledyne Reynolds also offer a wide selection of EFI or ‘slapper’ detonators to support the equipment, including low energy (LEEFI) units.
The COEUS family of products provide a common platform for integrating future technology without continual product replacement. Truly reducing costs in any end users asset life management activity. fii-news.com
