Workshops being held on prospects
India is expected to offer 60 discovered small fields (DSF) having in-place volumes of 195 MMTOE in commercially producing basins under DSF Bid Round II soon.
Compared to DSF Round I, the fields are larger in size with almost double in place volumes, said the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Supporting the upcoming bid round, the ministry is hosting a series of workshops for prospective bidders. The first workshop was held on 12 Feb 2018 in Mumbai with successive sessions planned hence on.
The workshops are being led by Atanu Chakraborty, Director General of the Directorate General Hydrocarbons.
The Open Acreage Licensing Permit (OALP) Bid Round I, launched in January 2018, has attracted 55 bidders for selected blocks, each carved out by prospective bidders themselves in promising basins with an area of 59,282 sq. km, said the ministry. fii-news.com.
