Contractors get four projects
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued Letters of Award or contracts for projects in Karnataka and Punjab.
The contracts are:
Development of Tumkur-Shivamogga Section of NH-206 in the state of Karnataka on Hybrid Annuity Mode. The 4-laning of about 220 km long Tumkur–Shivamogga section is divided into five packages. Contract for 3 Packages have been awarded.
Ashoka Concessions Limited has taken the Rs.979.16 crore contract for the 52.895 km Tumkur–Shivamogga section of NH-206.
It is for four Laning of Tumkur-Shivamogga Section from Km 12+310 (Design km 12+300) to Km 66+540 (Design Km 65+195) from Mallasandra to Karadi village.
The 52.895 km project, Package-I, is under 17 years of concession period including two years for construction. It will have one major bridge, 21 minor bridges, one bypass of a total length of 7.742 km, and re-alignment of about 4.805 km.
Ashoka is also doing four laning of Tumkur-Shivamogga Section from Km 66.540 (Design Ch. 65.195) to Km 119.790 (Design Ch. 121.900) from Karadi to Banwara.
The Rs.1,225.24-km contract covers 56.705 km of the NH-206.
The 56.705 km long Package-II of Tumkur-Shivamogga Section will have 21 minor bridges, 3 ROB, 3 bypasses of a total length of 25.995 km and re-alignment of about 5.25 km. The 17-year concession period include two years for construction.
Sadbhav Infrastructure Project Ltd is four Laning from Km 119+790 (Design Km 121+900) to Km 166+100(Design Km170+415) from Banavara to Bettadahalli.
The Rs.1,065.06 crore contract covers 48.515 km Package-III. It will have one major bridge, 28 minor bridges, one ROB, two bypasses of a total length of 10.89 km and re-alignment of about 2.675 km. The 17-year concession period include two years for construction.
In Punjab, NHAI has warded a engineering, procurement and construction contract of NH-354 under Bharatmala scheme.
A joint venture of Ceigall India Ltd–Inderjit Mehta Constructions Pvt. Ltd. has Rs.149.90 crore contract for two and four laning of 48.823-km from Khemkaran town to Start of Amritsar bypass. It is part of Border Roads designated to NHAI under Bharatmala scheme.
The project comprises of development of 13.138 km of 4-lane and 35.685 km to 2-lane with paved shoulder with flexible pavement. The contract period is 550 days as well as Operation&Maintenance of four years. The project will have one major bridge, six minor bridges, and facility of 18 nos. of bus bays and shelters. fii-news.com
