Company works on Rs.900 crore capex
India’s largest Hydro Power Plant operator, SJVN Ltd will soon start construction of four plants with 2,155-MW capacity, which are under various stages of clearances.
SJVN, with four projects of 1,610 MW under construction, sees capacity at 5,700-MW in the coming years.
Its largest project is 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh.
SJVN has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ministry of Power for the year 2018-19, in New Delhi on 20 April 2018.
The MoU was signed by Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Secretary (Power) and Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN.
As per the targets set in the MOU, SJVN will generate 9,200 mllion uits during the year under ‘Excellent’ category.
Further, SJVN will have Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) target of Rs.900 crore and Turnover target of Rs.2,175 crore under Excellent category along with other targets related to operational efficiency and Project monitoring.
In FY 2017-18, SJVN generated 9,280 million units from its projects under operation with an installed capacity of 1,964 MW, up on 8,950 million units (under ‘Excellent’ category) target.
SJVN has already paid an interim dividend of Rs.785.95 crores to its shareholders in FY 2017-18. fii-news.com
