Digital tech plays important role
Tata Consultancy Services (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) has migrated over 600 IT applications globally from legacy data centres to the AWS cloud in a time span of less than 12 months at Randstad, Holland.
This is one of the most ambitious and fastest AWS cloud migrations to date for a global firm and sets a new benchmark for digital transformation at this scale, said TCS.
The Randstad group is a global leader in the HR services industry and specialised in solutions in the field of flexible work and human resources.
Their IT infrastructure is currently being consolidated and centralised across 30 IT departments providing service to 39 operating companies in Europe, North and South America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
This transformation aims to increase efficiencies, reduce risks and provide better service from an IT infrastructure perspective in alignment with Randstad’s global digital strategy.
Randstad partnered with TCS to design and deploy one of the world’s largest public cloud transformation of IT infrastructure services.
TCS worked closely with Randstad to set up a unique public cloud-based operating model implementing centralised global management and monitoring, standardised and automated processes along with a security framework in line with GDPR guidelines.
These services are delivered from multiple locations, both onshore and offshore.
Amit Kapur, director and head, TCS Benelux, said, “The results to date are significant and a testament to Randstad’s vision to innovation and change. We will continue to work with Randstad in adopting a digital and agile mindset to help transform their IT operations in order to remain a global HR leader for years to come.”
Bernardo Payet, general manager, Randstad Global IT Solutions, commented, “Technology is at the core of our Tech and Touch strategy and will play a significant role for us in the future.”
“A data driven approach strongly coupled with our excellent human touch will allow us to differentiate ourselves from our competitors.
TCS’ ability to adapt to our changing needs and overcome technology and transformation challenges is representative of their commitment and flexibility as a digital partner for Randstad.
“We are very proud of the achievements to date of our digital transformation which are not only significant firsts for Randstad, but also sets new benchmarks in the industry,” said Payet.
Nagaraj Ijari, VP and global head, HiTech and professional services unit, TCS, commented, “Digital technology is playing an increasingly important role in revolutionising the staffing and recruitment industry.
“HR businesses are now relying heavily on cloud platforms to quickly source and manage talent so as to remain competitive in their markets.
I am happy that TCS has partnered with Randstad to achieve this significant milestone and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Randstad in their exciting journey ahead,” Ijari said. fii-news.com
