Sikkim progresses in organic farming
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has inaugurated the Pakyong Airport in Sikkim, the first in the Himalayan State, and the 100th airport in the country.
Pakyong Airport would greatly ease connectivity to Sikkim, he said on 24 Sept 2018 inauguration.
India has operationalized 35 out of 100 airports in the country.
The Prime Minister noted Sikkim’s progress in organic farming. He mentioned that the Union Government has initiated the “Mission Organic Value Development for North Eastern Region.” fiinews.com
