AAI ask for 468-acre land
Work is in progress on the Rs.180 crore Departure at the Coimbatore Airport in Tamil Nadu, according to an update given by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) on 6 Dec 2018.
Five apron bays, costing Rs.30 crore, are in progress, said AAI in update to Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu.
Densification of residential colony is being done at Rs.49 crore.
The Minister has directed the officials to expedite the completion of the pending works at the earliest and make the facilities to help reduce congestion at the airport.
AAI has sought from the Tamil Nadu Government an additional land of 468 acres for further terminal development at the airport. fiinews.com
