Yuksom resort on the anvil
Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has sought priority development for of projects such as 60-bed hospital at Mangong, costing Rs.20 crore.
The project has been retained by the North East Council, said Tamang during his meeting with Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) on 18June 2019.
Other projects include Bhaley Dhunga SkyWalk at Yangang in South Sikkim, passenger ropeway from Pelling to Sangachoeling in West Sikkim and tourist resort at Yuksom.
The Chief Minister’s also listed out priority projects of Sikkim Government such as roads and bridges, water security, energy and power, urban development & housing and healthcare.
He also requested for financial support to complete the multi-speciality hospital which was constructed recently. DoNER Ministry had earlier agreed to provide Rs.1.6 crore for medical equipment and furniture. fiinews.com
