International exhibitors to join Excon
Exclusive Pavilions on AI, IoT, Robotics, Startups, Components and Parts will lead exhibitors at the 10th edition of EXCON, South Asia’s largest construction equipment trade fair to be held in Bengaluru 10-14 December 2019.
Excon 2019, themed “Smart i-Tech – Next Gen India@75”, is being held at a time when India is spending trillion dollars on infrastructure development.
Excon 2019 will demonstrate the role of smart technologies and innovation in design in the manufacture of nextgen construction equipment and machinery to support the rapid pace of infrastructure development in the country.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), with Indian Construction Equipment Manufactures’ Association (ICEMA) as a Sector Partner, is organizing Excon 2019 which will demonstrate the role of smart technologies and innovation in design in the manufacture of nextgen construction equipment and machinery.
Excon 2019, the flagship initiative of CII in the construction equipment sector, was launched on 20 July 2019 during an Interactive Session by Nagendra Nath Sinha, Chairman, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in the presence of Vipin Sondhi, Chairman, CII Trade Fair Council & Chairman, Excon 2019 and Sandeep Singh, President, ICEMA.
Sinha said “It is very heartening to know that this EXCON is being held when the highway sector was growing. The growth of the Construction Equipment Industry and the Highway Development programme is progressing parallelly.”
The government initiatives such as the ‘Bharatmala Project, the construction equipment and allied sectors is set to grow at a faster pace, he pointed out.
India will invest Rs.100 lakh crore over the next 5 years which reflects the growth expected in the construction and infrastructure sector.
“What is very heartening to note is that the sector is employing and emphasizing on the interconnectedness of the equipment that they are putting together,” said Sinha.
“Excon has been a trusted brand internationally and the steady increase in the number of International companies reposing faith on the brand is the right indicator that the Construction Equipment Industry is poised for exponential growth”, said Sondhi.
“Development of world class infrastructure will lead to 9-10% growth of Indian economy and also India is expected to become the third largest construction market globally by 2022,” Sondhi pointed out.
“Today, most of the construction equipment is made in India. All International manufacturers and vendors are located in India and EXCON is the place where we all get together. This year we are going to focus on technology especially AI, IoT among others,” Sandeep Singh underlined the importance of the 5-day mega show.
Excon will be an ideal platform to connect all infrastructure stakeholders, including policymakers, investors, and developers, with the exciting growth story of India’s infrastructure. Over the last 9 editions, the event has grown into one of the topmost construction equipment exhibitions in this part of the world.
Excon 2019 will feature a 5-day international exhibition spread across a display area of 300,000 sqm Excon 2019 will attract over 1,250 exhibitors including 350+ overseas companies from 25 countries including China, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Turkey, UK & USA among others.
The 5-day exhibition would attract over 70,000 business visitors from India and abroad. fiinews.com
