SATAT allows plant financing
Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), Gail (India) Limited and Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) have issued 443 numbers Letters of Intent (LoIs) as on 29 Nov 2019 for setting up Compressed BioGas (CBG) plants in the country.
These plants are under Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation (SATAT) initiative, which allows entrepreneur to arrange financing for setting up CBG plants.
This update was given by Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on 4 Dec 2019.
He also informed that the Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry has taken up the issue of bank financing of CBG plants with Finance Ministry and Reserve Bank of India.
The Ministry, Pradhan assured, has been reviewing progress of SATAT to facilitate setting of CBG plants. fiinews.com
