Industry encouraged to move to hydrogen, innovation and technology path
The industry has welcomed the proposed Rs.100 lakh crore Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti programme for uplifting the economic growth by investment in infrastructure, manufacturing and competitiveness to drive India’s future growth and create employment.
“The Prime Minister’s words on manufacturing quality to build pride in Indian products were timely with a renewed thrust on the mission,” T V Narendran, President, Confederation of Indian Industry said in welcoming a mega economy boosting step by the Prime Minister.
“At the same time, the stress on providing basic amenities at the grassroots to all and policies to empower farmers are welcome as they would set the foundation for new growth waves.
“The progressive perspectives on sustainability, hydrogen, innovation and technology encourage industry to move on these paths and would help maintain the momentum of India’s growth path.”
“Coming after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reassurance to industry at the CII Annual Meeting, this has enthused entrepreneurs,” Narendran pointed out.
The emphasis placed on India’s all-round development, sustainability, technology and other aspects is timely and bodes well for our future growth track,” added Sanjiv Bajaj, President-designate CII.
“For industry, the various programs unveiled in the speech create huge opportunities across sectors, while the commitment to improving the lives of poorer sections of society will contribute to new demand. At this point of time, the imperatives that the Prime Minister has outlined are required to getting growth back and ensuring a robust future for the country.”
Lauding Modi’s speech, CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee said, “At a time when India is getting ready for India @ 75, the Prime Minister has provided a vision for the country that is attuned to the current global imperatives. The collaborative approach of Sabka Prayas makes all citizens important players in the national development mission and is a great way forward.
“Through the National Hydrogen Mission, India has the potential to gain global leadership and we believe that this is very much possible given India’s experience in the renewables sector with 100 gigawatts of capacity.
“The Prime Minister’s strong action to ensure a green energy path for development through green and blue hydrogen will reduce India’s carbon footprint and offer new opportunities for Industry at the same time.” #economy #investment #infrastructure #projects #manufacturing #exports /fiinews.com
