Indian industries have become data base, says Jain
India is a “very strong player” in the digital space and the entire ecosystem of enterprises today has become data based in a period of six years, starting with the launch of Digital India on 1 July 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to senior Government officials.
Further, IOT device market has a very high future potential and its growth pace is promising, according to Dr. A. K. Garg, Senior Director, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY).
“IOT devices are now easily accessible at extremely cheap prices,” Garg said at the E-Conclave-webinar On Intelligent Connectivity For Business Growth on 2nd September 2021 focusing on “Advanced Digital Networks for Data-Oriented Businesses”.
Anil Kumar Jain, CEO, NIXI, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), elaborated that the timely launch of digital India scheme on 1 July 2015 is boosting the digital infrastructure, digital governance and digital access to everyone. “The entire ecosystems of our industries today have become data based.”

The collection of high quality data is the building block of intelligent connectivity. In today’s digital and data driven era, private business entities are ready to spend enormous amounts of money on data management and government bodies are focused on data collection as well data protection, according to observation by Deepak Pahwa, Chair, Innovation Committee, PHDCCI.
Providing an intuitive industry perspective, V.K. Mishra, Co-Chair, Innovation Committee, PHDCCI, highlighted that intelligent connectivity is a combination of high speed network, artificial intelligence and the linkage of devices through integrated network. “These technologies are a game changer for businesses in terms of growth and future survival.”
The scope of Intelligent Connectivity in business growth is evident across various sectors like advertising, tourism, healthcare, drone operations and many others, he pointed out.
