Collaboration will help CISM & DIS build upon their foundations as 21st century schools, says Temurnikar
Global Schools Foundation (GSF), Singapore’s Indian origin education institution running 35 international schools in 10 countries, is giving access to its academic model incorporating the best of innovative education practices, modern teaching and learning, with an emphasis on skills-based learning, to two leading private schools in the Philippines.
GSF has a 20-year history and operates schools for nearly 31,500 students from over 70 nationalities.
GSF has entered into a strategic partnership with Manila-based Chinese International School Manila (CISM) and Domuschola International School (DIS) in Pasig City, Metro Manila.
“This strategic collaboration will help CISM & DIS, already among the top schools in the Philippines, to build upon their foundations as 21st century schools with high academic rigour and enable them to better meet the aspirations of Millennial parents and nurture their Generation Alpha children into Global Citizens,” Atul Temurnikar, Co-Founder and Chairman of Global Schools Foundation, said on 19 Aug 2022.
Focused on full K12 education, the GSF network emphasises strong inter-school collaboration between students and teachers, he said.
GSF provides 21st century holistic education together with innovative and personalised learning in a technologically-advanced environment that prepares students to become Global Citizens and be better prepared to deal with challenges of the future. The GSF schools are known for their global-mindedness and diversity while balancing the richness of local traditions.
“Through this partnership, our International Baccalaureate schools shall benefit from access to GSF’s global education best practices, strong technological systems and international interaction and cooperation with similar schools in the region,” said Martin P. Lorenzo, Chairman CISM & DIS.
“We are confident this partnership will drive superior learning outcomes for our students, improved career development for our staff and closer interaction across our school communities,” he said.
GSF had raised US$250 million a year ago (Aug 2021) from its institutional financial partners for continuing investments in K12 education in Asia and is now actively seeking strategic partnerships in Europe & North America.
It has also entered into a strategic partnership with Dwight School Seoul, a leading super premium IB School, with link to parent school in New York.
GSF drives the growth strategy and internationalisation from its headquarters in Singapore and is a pioneer participant in Enterprise Singapore’s Scale-up SG programme.
In 2021, GSF was recognised as the “World’s Most Awarded Network of Schools” by World Book of Records, UK, for being a recipient of international awards in different categories like Innovation and Management, Performance Excellence, Business Excellence, Green initiatives, CSR and Sustainability. fiinews.com
