Pranav Adani announces Rs.3,500cr for three cement plants in MP
The Adani Group has made another big investment commitment in Madhya Pradesh, announcing plans for Rs.60,000 crore in a number of sectors, adding to Rs.27,000 crore investment in power generation and transmission, gas distribution, cement manufacturing and agro-processing, among others, in the state.
This investment would reshape the economy of several districts in Madhya Pradesh, Adani Enterprises Director Pranav Adani said at the seventh Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit on 11 Jan 2023.
The group plans to invest in include four-laning of a part of NH-47, a gas link project and a micro-irrigation system.
It also plans to set up mega food parks and six multi-modal logistics parks in Dhar, Guna, Damoh, Ujjain and two in Indore.
Adani will invest Rs.5,250 crore in the multi-modal parks, he said.
The Adani Group is planning to invest Rs.3,500 crore on setting up three cement plants in Ametha, Dewas and Bhopal, he said, adding that his group is the second largest cement producter in the country based on output from manufacturing plant in Katni district.
“The three plants will almost triple the Group’s cement manufacturing in the state to 7.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA),” Adani said.
Further, the Adani Group will invest close to Rs.39,000 crore on renewable energy and set up a major pump storage hydro project, an investment of Rs.15,000 crore. Fiinews.com
