Minister inaugurates Rs.6,800cr highways in Madhya Pradesh
Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has announced a Rs.2,000 crore 4-lane greenfield road from Bamitha to Satna.
The 105-km road will be a boost for tourism, connecting destinations at Tikamgarh, Panna, Chhatarpur, Khajuraho, Bandhavgarh National Park, said Gadkarai at the inauguration of 18 National Highway projects on 23 Jan 2023.
The 550-km highways in Orchha, Madhya Pradesh, cost Rs.6,800 crore.
With the completion of these projects, the two-decade-old demand of the local people to construct a bridge in Betwa has been fulfilled, he said.
The 665-meter bridge cost Rs.25 crores.
The connectivity of Orchha, Jhansi, Tikamgarh will improve with the construction of 2-lane paved shoulder bridge and footpath, he added.
