Bhajanka aims to develop Badvel as agroindustry hub
Century Plyboards (India) Ltd (CenturyPly) has announced a Rs.1,000 crore expansion plan at its newly inaugurated Badvel, Andhra Pradesh, factory, following on to the Rs.950 crore phase I completion.
Keshav Bhajanka, Executive Director, CenturyPly, said, “The second phase will see an investment of Rs.1,000 crores in expansion plan at the integrated wood panel manufacturing unit.
“This will contribute to develop Badvel area into a hub of agroindustry in Andhra Pradesh,” he said, thanking the Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for inaugurating the recently completed phase I.
CenturyPly has invested Rs.700 crores in MDF and Rs.250 crores in laminates and PVC in the first phase, increasing production capacity in MDF plant by 950 M3, which will double company’s footprint in MDF.
CenturyPly’s additional capacities are being developed in 3 units with 60,000 CBM in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, in the plywood category, in particle board 240,000 CBM in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and in laminates 855,000 sheets, 313,500 CBM in MDF and PVC of 15,000 tonnes in Badvel, Andhra Pradesh respectively.
The company has established itself as the market leader and has manufacturing units at Kolkata, Chennai, Guwahati, Karnal, Kandla, Hoshiarpur, Myanmar, Gabon and Laos. Fiinews.com
