CII plans visit by Indian CEOs to Bangladesh later this year
India and Bangladesh should work together to do business in the huge Indian market and beyond in neighbouring regions, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said during her recent visit to India.

Bangladesh wants to expand beyond agriculture and develop its industry through Special Economic Zones, added Sheikh Hasina, inviting Indian businessmen to invest in these zones for which there is a large market in India, and beyond neighbouring Northeast regions https://fieo.org/ .
The Prime Minister mentioned that she wanted to make the economy of Bangladesh stronger and more sustainable, and her government will work on bigger ports, waterways, rail and road connectivity https://ficci.in/api/home .

During the industry interaction, business members from India and Bangladesh highlighted several sectors of joint collaborations, including increasing the supply of energy to Bangladesh with a special emphasis on hydropower and creating more energy transmission lines to Bangladesh https://www.ibef.org/ .
