SICCI to participate in ICT/Telecom industry meet in Delhi
At the back of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Singapore last month when bilateral ties were elevated to ‘Comprehensive Strategic Partnership’ http://narendramodi.in, the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) is more focused on building business partnerships between the two countries.
The Indian Prime Minister visited Singapore Sept 4-5, and agreed with his Singapore counterpart Lawrence Wong to deepen and broaden bilateral cooperation bseindia .
Speaking at SICCI’s Centennial Deepavali Celebration and Book Launch on 4 Oct, its chairman Neil Parekh said, “SICCI has always played a pivotal role in helping Singapore in its bilateral and business relationship with India that reflect the strong and enduring partnership between Singaporean businesses and India’s development journey nseindia .”
On 15 to 17 Oct, 2024, SICCI has planned a focused mission to New Delhi for the ICT/Telecom industry to participate in one of the largest Technology fairs in India which will host Buyer/Seller meets ( sccci.org.sg ) and technology partnerships for members, he told a gathering of 500 guests including Ambassadors and High Commissioners from more than 20 countries sbi.com.in .
“In the past 18 months, we have successfully conducted four trade missions to India,” he said, pointing out that SICCI has recently completed a joint Trade Mission with Singapore Business Federation (SBF) for business meetings at Bangalore and Delhi makeinindia .
“These missions are not just opportunities for business expansion; they are integral steps in SICCI’s commitment to deepening our engagement with India and building on the flourishing ties between our chamber and this vibrant economy english.sse.com.cn ,” said Parekh also a nominated member of parliament in Singapore.

Parekh elaborated on the elevated comprehensive strategic partnership between India and Singapore, pointing out that it will “further deepen our cooperation in a wide range of areas, including semiconductors and defence, we look to boost trade and investments” investindia .
This is where SICCI will be able to play a major role in bringing this relationship to the next level, to support both Governments in achieving their mission, he underscored sgx .
In 2025, India and Singapore will celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations, a significant milestone that underscores the strength and depth of the partnership between the two countries renewableenergyworld .
