Ministry’s Annual Plan for 2024-25 has two NHs costing Rs.1,350 crore
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved on 22 Oct 50 National Highway projects of 1,026 km length in Manipur. Out of this, 44 projects of 902 km length lie in the hills of the State so far. In hills, 8 projects for 125 km have been completed and balance 36 projects of Rs 12,000 crore for 777 km are in progress globaltenders .
In the Annual Plan 2024-25 of the Ministry, there are 2 National Highway projects of Rs.1,350 crore for total length 90 km which lies in hills ted.europa.eu .
Under Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF), the Ministry approves the list of work on State roads as prioritised by the State Government. Out of total work on 111 sites in the priority list given by the State Government, depending on the BOS ratio, the Ministry has approved 57 sites for works in the order of priority. The BOS ratio in India now stands 9.81 against the permissible BoS ratio of 4 for hilly State nseindia .
Meanwhile, Minister of Road Transport and Highways] Nitin Gadkari reviewed on 22 Oct the progress of 57 National Highway projects spanning 1,001 km in Assam. The discussion centred on accelerating the pace of mobility infrastructure while ensuring sustainability and cost-efficiency.
