Tenders have been awarded and work has commenced in 1,198 railway stations under ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’, 1337 stations have been identified for redevelopment, said the Ministry in a year-end project review https://www.globaltenders.com/.
Six railway stations viz Rani Kamlapati Station of West Central Railway, Gandhinagar Capital station of Western Railway, Sir M. In the calendar year 2024, a total of 58 projects out of total 434 projects were sanctioned across three economic corridors, with a combined completion cost of about Rs.88,875 crore and a total track length of about 4,107 km https://www.nseindia.com/.
The Energy, Mineral & Cement Corridors accounted for 51 projects, spanning 2,911 km with a completion cost of Rs.57,313 crore http://mobility.siemens.com.

The Rail Sagar corridor’s 2 projects, with a track length of about 366 km, is to cost Rs.20,282 crore.
Indian Railways have achieved total commissioning of 3,433 km from 1 April 2024 to till date, which includes 1,158 km New Line, 259 km Gauge Conversion and 2,016 km Doubling https://sbi.com.in/.
Further, the ‘No Elephant Intrusion Detection System’ (EIDS) has been commissioned at critical vulnerable location in NFR (Northeast Frontier Railway) for preventing accidents involving elephants.

Further, works on 582.25 km (NFR-141 RKms + ECoR-349.4 RKms + SR- 55.85 RKms + NER-36 RKms) have been awarded. The system has been commissioned over 141 RKms at present.
Overall, the Railways have achieved 6,450 km of complete track renewal, 8,550 turnout renewals, and raised speeds to 130 kmph over 2,000 km in 2024.
The Railways electrified 3,210 Rkm in 2024, extending the electrified BG network to 97% with renewable energy capacity reaching 2,014 MW.
A record 136 Vande Bharat trains and the first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail were introduced, alongside 21,513 special train trips during peak seasons. Fiinews.com
