University of Leicester showcases Space Park
University of Leicester is keen on furthering its links with Indian scientific projects for space research.
“We do have a history of collaboration with India on scientific projects and have worked with Indian Space Research Organization,” said Professor Richard Ambrosi who leads advance research and development of Space Park at the University.
Space Park is a new initiative for innovation and education which can also be extended to Indian scientific sector.
“Space Park is about creating innovation landscape bringing together universities and industries together in order to address challenges of how we make access to space easier and more cost effective,” explained Prof. Ambrosi.
“We are focusing on innovation in space science, earth observation and space exploration – it is about bringing academia and industry together as well as international partners together in a tailored eco-system,” he said.
The global exploration road map is looking at the moon and mars and beyond, especially the already established international initiatives.
The Space Park programme is open globally. “We are open to engage with international partners,” he added while showcasing the Space Park at the Farnborough Air Show held 16-22 July 2018. fiinews.com
