Lack of coordination and communication between and within government agencies continues to delay decision making on projects as Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari continued his two-day review of projects on 24 Jan 2020.

Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has stressed upon strict adherence to project schedules and called for adopting best practices in project management and construction.

Projects over Rs.162,000 crores have been tendered under the Smart Cities Mission while work orders have been issued for around Rs.120,000 crores, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs said on 22 Jan 2020.
