GPS system for airborn military customers
Cobham will be exhibiting at DefExpo 2018 as part of the UK Pavilion at stand 5.2.1c. The technology on display at Cobham’s stand will include:
• AMULET, a modular Counter-IED system that can be mounted onto vehicles, ground robots and UAV’s. Developed by Cobham Antenna Systems, AMULET uses an advanced multi-channel Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) to detect metallic, minimum-metal and non-metallic threats.
• Cobham Mast Systems, the leading manufacturer of lightweight, telescopic and composite masts for mobile communications. The masts are designed to be used in the most demanding conditions for transportable communication, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and broadcast systems, performing excellently in conditions from arctic to tropical and desert.
• The PHANTOM Oxygen System suite of products, which provides the military parachutists with expanded mission flexibility, comfort and performance. PHANTOM incorporates a high-performance mask mounted regulator and lightweight composite jump bottle with 410 litres of breathable oxygen to offer unparalleled comfort, oxygen duration, and improved field of view.
• Cobham’s anti-jam GPS system, a proven product for airborne military customers. Cobham has been at the forefront of anti-jam technology for over 20 years and its compact and modular anti-jam GPS system has been designed for new installations and retrofitting in Air, Land and Sea platforms. fii-news.com
