Possible cooperation on Aust mining tech
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited Australia’s Sovereign and Pension Funds to look into investing in India’s National Infrastructure Investment Fund (NIIF).
There is a scope for them to invest, said Modi during a bilateral meeting with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison in Singapore on 15 Nov 2018.
Modi and Morrison also looked at the possibility of Australian mining technologies and if there could be a cooperation on that, according to Secretary East, Vijay Thakur Singh, who briefed media on 15 Nov 2018 at the East Asia Summit and Asean related summits as well as meetings held in Singapore.
“There was a discussion on defense and security cooperation and both expressed satisfaction that there were a number of areas in which we could be working together including our cooperation which is ongoing in the various joint exercises,” said Singh.
Both Prime Ministers recognized that there were many areas to work together in building up the economic partnership especially as the India Strategic Paper which has been prepared as an initiative by Australia has many good ideas about how you can cooperate between one state of Australia with another state of India and how we can move forward in that aspect.
They leaders looked at Australia’s foreign policy white paper as well as the paper which the Australian Department of Trade has got on India’s Economic Strategy. Reflecting on that, both Prime Ministers recognized that there were many areas to work together in building up the economic partnership.
It would especially be on the India Strategic Paper which has been prepared as an initiative by Australia has many good ideas about how you can cooperate between one state of Australia with another state of India and how we can move forward in that aspect. fiinews.com
